 William R. Cleere, Artist
May 1943-April 1998

Bill Cleere began painting in 1983 under the instruction of well-known artist Milton Lenoir. After learning the basic techniques, Bill developed his own style in acrylic and watercolor painting. He often hid the signature on his work because he felt it should be a part of the painting.

Bill’s work has been featured on the covers of five publications, both regionally and nationally. His paintings have been purchased by hundreds of private collectors, as well as corporations such as Southern Natural Gas, American Bell, Brookwood Hospital, United Chair and Southeastern Tag and Label. He won more than fifty awards during his career at art shows across the Southeast.

After a long battle with cancer, Bill passed away April 15, 1998. His family feels his artwork should continue to be enjoyed by art lovers. These are limited edition prints from Bill’s collection.

If anyone is interested in more of his work they can reach Jennifer at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
